Welcome!
Eden Renewal supports congregations in their efforts to promote energy efficiency in their house of worship. Through this work, we can accomplish multiple goals:
- Environmental - Reduce the negative impact of large structures on the environment
- Inspirational - Model behaviors that will inspire members to consider similar changes in their personal lives and homes
- Community - Free resources so that congregations will have more funds for their ministry and mission work
Eden Renewal aims to help PEOPLE, through enabling faith communities to offer more services and the PLANET, through reducing environment impact of churches and teaching positive behaviors.
2012 Goals - Expand!
One of our key goals in 2012 is to expand our support to include congregations in a wider geographic area. We also plan to ensure that we provide support to additional denominations.
Highlight - KC Green Impact Zone
Our 2011 emphasis was helping the faith communities in the KC Green Impact Zone. We have completed the first "Low Carb(on) Event" to raise funds for this initiative. In January and February of 2012 we will assist our two partner congregations with the installation of items purchased through the more than $3000 raised by this event.
